May 19, 2022, Tashkent - The House of Photography in Tashkent hosted a picture exhibition titled "Expanding the Opportunities of Youth: Uzbekistan's Youth in European Union Cooperation." The European Delegation in Uzbekistan organized the exhibition, which featured 34 young people who represented the "faces" of the EU-Uzbekistan partnership.

Ms. Charlotte Adriaen, Ambassador of the European Union in Uzbekistan, stressed the importance of youth as change agents for a better, greener, more inclusive, and digital future in her opening remarks. Her message was backed up by the exhibition's motto, "Leave your fingerprint for a better future," which encouraged the youth of Uzbekistan to become more active participants in the development process.

Two young beneficiaries of the UN Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund attended the exhibition. They were chosen to be included in the picture exhibit's main hall and were asked to speak up on behalf of all youth of Uzbekistan.

By participating in this project, I learned a lot about the dangers of our indifference and the need to be more attentive to our environment. At the same time, I started to live a healthier lifestyle”,  said Ms. Zulfiya Torebayeva, one of the Fund's young artisans who benefited from the UNICEF/UNFPA/UNODC Joint Programme.

Mr. Piratdin Ziyadov, a teacher from Kungrad, is another young beneficiary of the same program who feels that owing to the chances provided by UNFPA, we need to teach young people how to care for the environment and live a sustainable life from an early age.
