OverviewScaling Up Nutrition Movement

To address the importance and urgency of under-nutrition around the world, stakeholders launched the Scaling Up Nutrition Movement (Sun Movement) at the 2012 United Nations Summit on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). Under this fund, stakeholders committed to action that would substantively scale up nutrition in 26 countries.

The initiative was an unprecedented development in the field of nutrition, bringing together over 100 partners to coordinate and aligne global, national, and local efforts—rallying behind priority areas that could result in sustainable solutions for under-nutrition.
